What times do tours depart?
* Oct through May at 8 AM and 1 PM pending availability. Other
times by special arrangement. All tours are booked by
appointment only.
* June through Sept, Abbreviated schedule with departure time
arranged during booking.
Where do I go to
begin the tour?
* Prices listed are for pickup in Carefree / Cave Creek, Az. area.
You will confirm your preferred pickup location during booking.
Resort pickup is also available in most cases.
Are there any age limits?
* We do not recommend Jeep tours for children under 1 year of
age.
* Child seats are required for children under 5 years of age.
* We have toured with guests up to 90 years old.
Are there any
physical limitations?
* Generally, guests must only be able to sit upright with a
seatbelt on, while traversing bumpy terrain.
* Not recommended for persons with severe neck or back problems
or pregnant women nearing their due date.
What will the weather
be like?
* Carefree weather can vary by 25 degrees F in a single day.
300+ days of sunshine per year average.
* In winter, expect highs of 75 degrees F, and lows of 30
degrees F.
* In summer, expect highs of 115 degrees F, and lows of 75
degrees F.
What happens if it rains?
* It has to rain for a considerable time before the roads are
closed.
* In most cases, Carefree, Az. rain storms are short-lived.
* If we must cancel a tour due to weather, you will not be charged.
What should I wear?
* Wear comfortable outdoor clothing appropriate for the season.
Layers are advisable.
* Prepare for at least a 15 degree F temperature variation for
any outdoor excursion.
* Hiking boots are recommended, but sneakers are acceptable.
* NO high heels.
* SPF 15 to 30 sunscreen is advisable.

What should I bring?
* Bottled water is provided.
* Camera with extra film.
* Lip balm.
* Cash or credit card for Gift Shop purchases.
How should I
prepare for the tour?
* Visit the restroom immediately prior to the tour, as there are
no facilities available until we reach the Mountaintop Studio
approx 1 hour depending on pickup location.
* Carry any necessary medications that you may require within a
half-day's time.
What charges
or discounts do you have?
* Tour fees are as listed (see Our Tours), plus 9.3% sales tax.
* Children 12 and under are 50% off adult fare.
* There is a 50% cancellation fee for tours cancelled with less
than 24-hour notice.
Is it customary to
tip the guide?
* Yes, tips are appreciated.
* 15-20% is customary, but please tip what you feel is
appropriate.
